Federal Arrest Warrant Issued For Gabby Petito’s Fiancé
As we previously reported, a federal warrant was just issued for Brian Laundrie. The warrant notes that Brian is wanted for “the intent to defraud.” The warrant goes on to reveal that Brian used someone else’s debit card as well as a pin number for a few different bank accounts to spend “$1,000 or more.”
Brian Laundrie’s Attorney Responds To Arrest Warrant
According to Fox News crime and law enforcement reporter Stephanie Pagones, reports Brian Laundrie’s attorney responded to the rest warrant roughly an hour after it was issued. In his response, the attorney seemed to express it was important to keep in mind the arrest warrant had nothing to do with Gabby Petito. In fact, Brian’s attorney noted the crimes his client is being charged with happened AFTER her demise. Here is his official response:
It is my understanding that the arrest warrant for Brian Laundrie is related to activities occurring after the death of Gabby Petito and not related to her actual demise.”
He continued to respond: “The FBI is focusing on locating Brian and when that occurs the specifics of the charges covered under the indictment will be addressed in the proper forum.”
Is This Why Brian Laundrie’s Parents Met With Their Attorney?
As we previously reported, Brian Laundrie’s parents broke the cover of their home and traveled to downtown Orlando today. At first, the details of their trip were labeled simply as “business.” It was later confirmed they had a meeting with their attorney. The internet assumes the meeting was related to the arrest warrant filed against their son.
