In response to Joy-Anna’s new photos of Evelyn, critics on Reddit are discussing privacy concerns. Since Evelyn is bathing and completely naked, critics are worried that the photos could end up in the wrong hands. Joy-Anna has one million followers on Instagram, so many people can see those pictures. Her account is public, so those who don’t follow her can see them too.
On Reddit, Counting On viewers have a lot to say. One writes, “Joy has ONE MILLION followers. I cannot conceive of violating my kid’s privacy like that.”
Another user slams Joy-Anna’s parenting choices, writing, “Joy’s kids are so often in dangerous situations—and when they’re not, they’re either neglected or serving as pedo bait. Bold statement: she’s a bad mom.” Someone else chimes in, “Posting naked pics of your child on your public Instagram for millions of people to see is bad parenting, plain and simple.”

Jinger Vuolo makes a decision regarding her kids’ privacy.
This weekend, one of Joy-Anna’s sisters, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, revealed that she wasn’t going to be sharing photos of her kids. In an Instagram story, Jinger wrote, “The girls are doing great! Felicity is absolutely smitten by her little sister and Evy adores Felicity. You haven’t seen much of them simply because we are wanting to give them a bit more privacy while they’re so young.”
So, there’s a big contrast between Jinger and Joy-Anna’s approaches to posting content about their kids on social media. It will be interesting to see what the other Duggar kids choose to do after growing up in the public eye. So far, they all seem to be sharing photos of their children, but they may choose to take a step back like Jinger has.
