Counting On star Austin Forsyth is known for doing contracting work. Because he’s a contractor and works for himself, Joy-Anna Duggar and the kids sometimes tag along. Now, it looks like Austin is testing the waters in a real estate career. Apparently, real estate is widely known as the main source of income for the Duggars. Jim Bob Duggar’s income mostly came from the real estate industry. However, it appears that Austin doesn’t have the skills to match Jim Bob’s real estate career status. It was previously revealed in October 2019 that Austin was sued for fraud. Now, Austin is about the face trials for his fraud case in just a few months.
Counting On: Austin Forsyth Going To Trial For Fraud Case
According to reports, Counting On star Austin Forsyth will face trials in May 2021. The trial comes after Austin’s client alleged him of not getting proper permits for installing a septic system in the home he sold. According to the client, there’s a foul odor of human waste coming from the backyard. The client explained it as “constant and unbearable” and “unsanitary and downright disgusting.”
The client also claimed that their dog got sick after drinking water from their yard. After investigating, the client learned that the land was unsuitable for septic system installation. Apparently, the case with Austin revolves around the malfunctioning septic system and not having the proper permits.
Austin Defends Himself
Counting On star Austin Forsyth defended himself from the allegations. He said that he was not required to obtain a permit. He also denied the allegations against him about fraud. Austin also requested to dismiss his case as he claims that his client’s allegations were all false. However, later in February 2020, Austin’s clients requested a partial judgment of the fraud, which means that Austin will have to compensate them for their claims. Austin rejected the request of compensating his client. However, they still have to wait for the final judgment in May 2021.
Austin has been facing criticisms lately. He was previously slammed for his reckless act with his wife Joy-Anna Duggar after they walked around a hotel lobby with no masks. The two also got slammed after bringing their baby daughter Evelyn to a mall with not a mask in sight.
