Ellie likes to spend time with some of her older siblings. The Bringing Up Bates star doesn’t have a public social media page, but she often surfaces in some of her siblings’ vlogs and social media posts. Many married couples in the family rely on Ellie when it comes to babysitting. Ellie’s “snarky” personality has also won the hearts of many.
She was also dubbed as one of Gil and Kelly Jo’s “rebellious” daughters. But despite receiving such a title, Ellie assures everyone that she loves her family and still follows their traditions. But Kelly Jo recently took to social media to share an emotional message regarding her daughter’s independence.
Kelly Jo Talks Ellie’s ‘Independence’ In Special Tribute
In a social media post, Kelly Jo Bates shared photos and clips with her daughter, Ellie, as she celebrated her 18th birthday. According to Kelly Jo, she couldn’t believe how time flies by so fast that she’s already celebrating her daughter’s 18th birthday. The Bringing Up Bates star added that Ellie is one of the most adventurous, courageous, and strong people she knows.
Kelly Jo then talked about Ellie’s independence. She revealed that some parents would think of the term “independent” in a negative way. But Ellie is wise and mature enough to make her own decisions. Kelly Jo continued, “I use it in the most positive way when I say that I’m grateful you’re brave & independent & willing to speak out for what you want or believe!” The proud mother also mentioned how amazing Ellie was in school and how devoted a friend she is to her siblings. Kelly Jo ended her message saying that she’s excited for her daughter’s future now that she’s officially an adult.
Bringing Up Bates: Kelly Jo Bates Has Been Proud Of Her Kids
Aside from Ellie, Kelly Jo Bates has also been proud of her other kids, Isaiah and Addallee. Recently, the Bringing Up Bates star uploaded photos of the siblings during their time in the U.K. According to Kelly Jo, Addallee and Isaiah performed with the Crown College Choir in England, Scotland, and Ireland. She was thankful that they were given such an opportunity, adding that she gets goosebumps whenever she hears the choir sing. Kelly Jo continued, “So many lasting memories were made, and I’ve enjoyed hearing every detail about their adventure! ☀️”
