‘The Bachelor’ Matt James Reveals New Job
Matt James of The Bachelor is moving on with his life and up to new things. He recently split with Rachael Kirkconnell, whom he met on the show. He broke up with her and then, just three hours later shocked her by posting the split on Instagram.
Matt James’ New Job
Matt James loves to run marathons and is always posting about doing this on his social media. Now he is working as a field reporter for the Boston Marathon. Matt shared the news a while back on his Instagram. At the time, he said “Boston Marathon from the runners POV! Excited to be part of the @espn / @wcvb5 Boston Marathon broadcast team as a field correspondent.. literally in the field.”
When Is The Boston Marathon And How Will This Work?
The Boston Marathon is actually today on April 21, 2025. Matt James will be running it and also reporting at the same time. That will be interesting to see for fans. Matt did share that he would be in one of the last waves of the big marathon.

Matt sure did eat a lot of food to prepare for the marathon today. He shared, saying, “A waffle hates to see me coming. Light syrup, light butter, and we going. For protein, chicken sausage links. Second course was these buttermilk pancakes. No one wants a dry flapjack, so it’s syrup and butter to ensure that moist bite. And it’s back to our protein-packed sausage links. Scrambled eggs are a must. I’m gonna lose a lot of salt over the course of this race s.o we load up.”
Rumors recently came out that Rachael Kirkconnell was spotted kissing Harry Jowsey from Too Hot To Handle, but she shot down these rumors. If either one of them has moved on, they haven’t shared it with fans just yet. Matt and Rachael were together for four years before their big split recently.
