Bringing Up Bates: Kelly Jo Bates Reunites With Mama Jane After Health Crisis
Kelly Jo previously took to social media to share her reunion with Mama Jane. The Bringing Up Bates star was so happy to see her mother-in-law again, but she was asking for prayers as Mama Jane undergoes radiation treatment for weeks. According to Kelly Jo, Mama Jane is a warrior, but she gets so weak after a single radiation treatment. Kelly Jo’s last visit to South Carolina didn’t go as planned. She ended up suffering from severe stomach pain, which was later discovered to be a kidney stone. Fortunately, it was removed before it was too late, as the kidney stone turned septic, which could have led to fatality.
Kelly Jo Makes Carlin Cry
In a social media post, Kelly Jo Bates shared a lengthy message for her daughter, Carlin, who just celebrated her 27th birthday. According to Kelly Jo, she has seen her daughter’s fancy personality since she was a child, adding that she would put up a white flower girl dress. The Bringing Up Bates star also revealed that Carlin was her sidekick and she was the “cutest little thing” she had ever seen. Kelly Jo went on to say that she’s proud of what Carlin has become today, and she will treasure every moment with her before sharing some of their most memorable moments, including their Disney World trip and how they lay in the hospital bed together.
Kelly Jo’s message moved the hearts of many. But Carlin later took to the comments section to share that her mother’s message made her cry. She said, “Mom, this made me cry! 😠I’m so thankful for you and all the memories we’ve shared. I love you more than words can say—thank you for making me feel so loved today! 🫶”

Carlin Bates Stewart has been sharing photos and clips from her birthday celebration. But the Bringing Up Bates star left many fans in awe after sharing that she has fulfilled her fairytale dream. According to Carlin, she’s been dreaming of a day where she gets surprised by her own family in the morning with a homemade breakfast and lovely decorations to celebrate her special day. She felt so loved, and she was incredibly grateful for her kids and husband’s efforts.
