‘Bringing Up Bates’ The Bates Family Goes ‘1950s’ For ‘I Love You Day’
Bringing Up Bates stars Gil and Kelly Jo Bates have finally started their annual “I Love You Day” at the big house. It’s their alternative way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The family dresses up as characters from their favorite TV shows. The “I Love You Day” is also notorious for its huge announcements, especially pregnancies. Bringing Up Bates: The Bates Family’s ‘I Love You Day’ Was Delayed
The Bates family was supposed to celebrate “I Love You Day” last month. However, Kelly Jo’s emergency surgery earlier this year affected the family’s schedule. The Bringing Up Bates star was rushed to the hospital during her visit to Mama Jane and Papa Bill’s farm in South Carolina. It was then revealed that Kelly Jo underwent two surgeries to remove a kidney stone, which had turned septic.
The Bates family also celebrated Gil’s 60th birthday last January, and it seems Kelly Jo wanted everyone to take a long break after all the activities and stressful events that happened. Fortunately, they still decided to make “I Love You Day” happen, even with some of the kids missing the event. One of them was Alyssa, who’s currently in South Carolina with her grandparents, Mama Jane and Papa Bill.
The Bates Family Goes 1950s For ‘I Love You Day’
Michaela Bates Keilen recently took to social media to share their first photo for the Bates family’s “I Love You Day.” According to the Bringing Up Bates star, they went back to the past and dressed up as people from the 1950s. Michaela even made an ice cream stand and served delicious treats for her nephews and nieces.
Michaela added that she’s not sure how her mother, Kelly Jo, outdoes herself every year, implying that everything was her idea. She added, “She manages to make each party so incredibly special and meaningful!” Michaela also promised her followers that they’ll be sharing more photos and clips from the event.
Bringing Up Bates: Whitney Bates Shares Adorable Pictures Of Kids
Whitney Bates has also started sharing photos from “I Love You Day.” The Bringing Up Bates star showed off adorable photos of her kids’ costumes. Bradley was wearing what appears to be an Elvis Presley outfit. She also revealed that her kids won second place for the best costume for grandchildren, implying that someone outdid their costumes.
Kelly Jo has yet to share pictures from their highly anticipated event. It also appears that most of the kids are still editing their vlogs for the event. There are rumors about a mystery pregnancy that may be announced at the event, and some people believe it will be Emerson and Jackson’s first baby.
