Bringing Up Bates: What Happened To The Bates Family’s ‘I Love You Day’ Last Year?
Last year, the Bates family had one of the most memorable “I Love You Day” with their kids. Everyone gathered and dressed up as characters from one of their favorite TV shows, Little House on the Prairie. Many fans were left in awe by how precise their costumes were.
Evan and Carlin surprised everyone with their Oleson family getup similar to Gil and Kelly Jo. The Bringing Up Bates stars also played many games during the event. Gil and Kelly Jo also awarded Michaela with the “Biggest Heart” award, which included $100 cash.
Michaela Shares Glimpse From Annual ‘I Love You Day’
Michaela Bates Keilen recently took to social media to share photos from her recent shopping as she picked out the clothes for their upcoming “I Love You Day.” The Bringing Up Bates star revealed that she’s making the family’s costumes this year. She didn’t exactly share the theme for their “I Love You Day” this year, but she’s excited to start making progress again after a busy schedule.
She continued, “But we made so much progress with props and costumes this weekend! I can’t wait to share more pictures soon!” Meanwhile, some fans commended Michaela for still doing her tradition of sewing costumes for her siblings and parents.

Michaela Bates Keilen also took to YouTube to share what she’s been up to over the past few weeks. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she and Brandon previously drove 48 hours to Florida, adding that it’s one of their most memorable road trips. They visited Erin and Brandon, who recently relocated to a new house in Florida. Michaela has also been in touch with some of her siblings and even celebrated the first birthday of Josie’s son, Miles.
