Bringing Up Bates star Gil and Kelly Jo Bates have been busy sharing their activities with some of their kids over the past few days. Kelly Jo recently had a health scare, leaving many of her kids emotional. She underwent two surgeries to remove a kidney stone that had become infected. Kelly Jo was a warrior and recovered quickly. Bringing Up Bates: Kelly Jo & Gil Bates’ Recent Trip To Utah
Gil and Kelly Jo recently brought their kids to Utah to go skiing. Multiple Bates kids joined the trip, such as Josie, Katie, Carlin, and Warden. According to Kelly Jo, they celebrated Valentine’s Day in Utah. The Bringing Up Bates star even shared a heartwarming message for Gil, who made her “dreams come true.” Kelly Jo also said they were supposed to go on their annual trip to Colorado. But Carlin, Josie, and Katie surprised them with a trip to VRBO near Park City, Utah.
She even showed gratitude for how their daughters spoiled them, saying, “We usually all pitch in & divide the costs, but they insisted on gifting us this year with this unbelievable vacation, complete with the fanciest Valentine’s dinner at Ruth Chris last night! I’m feeling very loved, very spoiled, & very rested.”
Why Did Gil & Kelly Jo Postpone Big Family Event?
In the same Instagram post, Kelly Jo revealed that they’re postponing their “I Love You Day” this month, which is their alternative way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Last year was memorable because of the huge pregnancy reveals. According to Kelly Jo, their recent travel and her current recovery resulted in their decision to postpone “I Love You Day” until late March. The Bringing Up Bates star also revealed that they had already chosen the costumes they would wear. The family dressed up as characters from the popular TV show Little House on the Prairie.
Bringing Up Bates: What To Expect From The Upcoming ‘I Love You Day’?
Gil and Kelly Jo didn’t exactly reveal the inspiration for their costumes for their upcoming “I Love You Day” in March. However, fans can expect that the Bringing Up Bates stars will dress up as characters from another wholesome family show based on their pattern. There are also speculations that some family members will announce a pregnancy at the huge event.
