Upcoming Horror: 5 Scary Movies Releasing July 1-8

The month of July kicks off a hot month of horror. With 2022 half over, the genre of horror has seen some of the better film and TV shows in recent years. With the momentum continuing, it doesn’t look like horror fans will be disappointed. One of the most popular TV series in recent memory, ‘Stranger Things,’ delivers two explosive episodes. The final two episodes of Stranger Things drop on Netflix to conclude season 4 on July 1. The wildly popular series has broken records for Netflix and is expected to continue. ’11th Hour Cleaning’ will be available on-demand on July 5. On July 7, ‘The Summoned’ and ‘The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus’ will also drop on VOD. On July 8, Netflix will be releasing ‘Incantation.’ Here is a list of 5 upcoming horror movies and their synopsis releasing over the next week.

Stranger Things Season 4: Episodes 8 & 9- July 1
Synopsis:
“The final episodes of Season 4 of ‘Stranger Things are released on Netflix. In episode 8, Nancy has sobering visions, and El passes an important rest. Back in Hawkins, the crew gather supplies to prep for the ultimate battle. In episode 9, the battle concludes as Vesca clashes with the gang as the fate of Hawkins hangs in the balance. Tears fall as some of the biggest fan favorites are pushed to their limits in an emotional finale to season 4.”

11th Hour Cleaning- July 5 (VOD)
Synopsis:
“A group of crime scene cleaners struggle to escape a murder house. The crew becomes trapped by an ancient Nordic demon hell-bent on driving them insane. They must face their most personal regrets and fears through horrific hallucinations.”

The Summoned- July 7 (VOD)
Synopsis:
“Summoned to an exclusive self-help retreat, a young man and his girlfriend learn that they must settle a supernatural debt that dates back generations..”

The Prey: Legend of Karnoctus- July 7 (VOD)
Synopsis:
“In the Afghanistan desert, a group of mercenaries out for treasure complete their greatest heist. The crew is joined by retreating US soldiers, however, both groups are trapped within by a rocket explosion and hunted by a legendary prey. The film currently has a 71 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.”
