Meanwhile, various celebrations will be ongoing throughout the year, including one that falls on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet’s birthday. On the calendar for Saturday, June 4, Buckingham Palace will host a Platinum Party

At this stage, it is unknown who will perform at the event that will be staged and broadcast by the BBC. However, according to the royal website, the event “will bring together some of the world’s biggest entertainment stars.”

On that same day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also celebrate their daughter Lilibet’s first birthday. Lili was born Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on June 4, 2021, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California. Meanwhile, Lilibet was named to honor her great-grandmother, as it was Queen Elizabeth II’s childhood nickname.

Will Prince Harry and Meghan attend?

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the US, they have not returned as a family of four to visit Queen Elizabeth. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet will travel to the UK to join in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

However, other members of the Royal Family will be there to mark the occasion of the Queen’s birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, on Thursday, June 2. Usually, royal fans can see the Royal Family enjoying the event from the balcony at Buckingham Palace, including an RAF fly-past. More than 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians will be in the traditional parade.

In the meantime, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared the first public photograph of Lilibet. It was posted as their 2021 Christmas card and was taken at the couple’s home in Montecito, California. Meanwhile, the image shows Harry holding a red-headed Archie on his lap, while Meghan holds their daughter in the air.

The photo was captioned with a personal message from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It read, “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa’, and Lili made us a family.”

They noted that while looking forward to 2022, they have made donations on the public’s behalf. These included donations to a number of organizations that honor and protect families. The pair notably mentioned those relocating from Afghanistan, and American families in need of paid parental leave.
