NBA: Lakers & Bucks Are Interested In Signing Isaiah Thomas
The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to make some big moves before the NBA trade deadline arrives. Apparently, reports claim that the Lakers are interested in obtaining veteran point guard Isaiah Thomas. Apparently, Thomas’s career went downhill after suffering from multiple injuries throughout the years. He was frequently traded to different teams.
Thomas last played with the Los Angeles Lakers back in February 2020. Now, NBA analysts believe that he’s ready to get back on the court. However, the Lakers aren’t the only team that’s interested in signing Thomas. According to reports, the Milwaukee Bucks are also interested in signing the veteran point guard.
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers Interested In Isaiah Thomas
According to reports, veteran point guard Isaiah Thomas is ready to get back into the NBA and two teams are currently looking forward to signing him. One of which is the defending champions, the Los Angeles Lakers. Apparently, Thomas once played with the Lakers back in 2018. However, he only played 17 games wearing the purple and gold jersey. He was also benched most of the time. Thomas later became a free agent.
The Lakers did not re-sign him. Instead, the team went for Rajon Rondo, who instantly became a starting point guard. Now, fans think that this is the best year for Thomas to make his comeback. The Lakers already have a well-established roster led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Fans also think that this is the best choice for Thomas if he wants to get his first ring.
The Milwaukee Bucks Might Need Thomas More Than The Lakers
The Milwaukee Bucks are currently on a roll this season. The reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has been carrying the team. However, there are times where Giannis falls short due to not having a solid backcourt partner. Due to this, fans think that Isaiah Thomas will be the best option for the Bucks, especially if they want to push further in the playoffs. Apparently, fans believe that the Bucks are still missing one piece to become a contender, and that is having a veteran point guard. It’s widely known that Thomas had an incredible NBA career during his prime days with the Boston Celtics. At this point, Thomas has yet to reveal which team he wants to sign with.
