Many friends of Meghan Markle have her back over the recent allegations of staff bullying. They also support her over Sunday’s bombshell interview between Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan. However, other celebrities have thoroughly slammed the Duchess. Among the haters was Bethenny Frankel, who said frankly, “Cry me a river” over Meghan’s plight.
RHONYC alum Bethenny Frankel makes herself heard
Former Real Housewives of New York City and podcast host, Bethenny Frankel, took to social media on Sunday. She didn’t hold back while sharing her feelings about Meghan, prior to the interview between Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan that night. Teaser clips for the bombshell interview revealed Markle speaking candidly about her rise to fame, followed by silencing by the royals.
Frankel tweeted, “Cry me a river… the plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, with tiaras and 7-figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name w @Oprah on speed dial, fetching 7m for interviews, hundreds of millions in media deals.”

In her tweet, Bethenny was referring to Meghan’s appearances on the game show Deal or No Deal. She was also referring to Markle’s lavish 2018 royal wedding. While hitting out at Meghan, Frankel did show sympathy for her husband, Prince Harry.
She wrote, “I 100% give Harry a break. This isn’t the way to generate less press & cannot be filed under the guise of wanting privacy to prevent a repeat of previous events.” Bethenny also defended her right to share her opinion. She wrote, “If you hate me for saying it here don’t listen to my podcast… it’s littered with my opinion.”
Megyn Kelly slams Meghan Markle
Former Fox News and NBC Host Megyn Kelly also made her voice heard. She tweeted on Friday to say that Markle “plays the victim.”
It’s so hard to be Royals, live in a castle, have a huge staff and your every need taken care of by British taxpayers, only to toss it all for hundreds of millions in the US for (doing what exactly?) and life in a $14m mansion. My heart breaks for them! https://t.co/qAQihgMAM6

TV presenter Piers Morgan also headed to Twitter to slam both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He had referred to Oprah with Meghan and Harry as “whine-athon.”
Right, that’s why most of us wouldn’t have given up our country, family, job & religion just to marry a prince. Now, all she does is play the victim bc – poor gal- she wasn’t allowed to control her media access while living in the Queen’s palaces. The horror! https://t.co/lH9wT36hDW

Support for Meghan Markle
While plenty of hate was directed at Markle, recently several celebrities stood up for the former actress. One was her Suits co-star, Patrick J. Adams who showed his support on social media. Another was a close college friend, Lindsay Jill Roth, who said, “Meg’s M.O. has always been kindness.”
As noted by Yahoo! Entertainment, Chrissy Teigen also spoke up for Meghan. She expressed her fear that the endless criticism could affect Markle’s pregnancy. Teigen wrote in a tweet, “This Meghan Markle s*** is hitting too close to home for me.” She added, “These people won’t stop until she miscarries. F****** stop it.”
Meanwhile, headlines are now full of the interview between Oprah, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. No doubt the royal family is scrambling with the backlash.
