Royal fans have been waiting with bated breath for Oprah With Meghan And Harry, an intimate interview between Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. CBS has released promos that promise “shocking revelations” into the story of Meghan and Harry leaving the royal family. In the no-holds-barred interview, there is “no subject that is off-limits.”
First look at Oprah With Meghan And Harry
Royal fans have been waiting a while for Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. While there have been various stories in the media about the couple’s departure from the royal family, fans will finally get more detail.
In the sit-down with the talk show legend, the famous couple will be covering pretty much everything. Subjects will relate to Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, the couple’s marriage and most importantly, why they chose to leave their stations as senior royals. What exactly led to their move to Los Angeles with little Archie?
Prince Harry, Meghan and Oprah
CBS has released two teaser promos for Oprah With Meghan And Harry. Initially, Oprah speaks with Meghan alone in the beautiful garden. Later, we see the talk show host chatting with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex together. Right from the start, Winfrey notes that all parties have agreed that “there is no subject that is off-limits” in their interview.
As Oprah asks probing questions of the couple, while socially distanced across a table, she says, “You’ve said some pretty shocking things here.” Meanwhile, the couple sits with deadpan faces, looking back at Oprah.
Oprah obviously delves into the bigger questions, as she asks Meghan, “Were you silent or were you silenced?” Markle sits speechless, looking back at Winfrey. However, in response to something the former Suits actress says, Oprah responds, “almost unsurvivable sounds like there was a breaking point.”
Concern about ‘history repeating itself’
While in the promo, Meghan doesn’t respond, her husband does. As noted by Deadline, Harry clearly reveals a hint of why he chose to move his family away from home. Referring to his mother, Princess Diana, and her shocking death, Harry says, “My biggest concern was history repeating itself.”
The Duke goes on to say, “I’m really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been for her going through this process by herself all these years ago.”
Meghan and baby No. 2
Readers will recall that on February 14, Harry and Meghan revealed that they had a second baby on the way. During the clips from the interview, Meghan often cradles her baby bump, while wearing a black and white dress.
It was soon after the pregnancy announcement that CBS had revealed that the couple had agreed to give Oprah a primetime TV interview, which is set to air on March 7.
Prince Harry with James Corden
As royal fans no doubt know, Prince Harry appeared on the Carpool Karaoke segment of The Late, Late Show with James Corden. The pair cruised around Los Angeles on the top of a double-decker tour bus. While the segment was very funny, Harry did touch on his and Meghan’s reasoning for leaving the UK, while enjoying high tea.
Oprah With Meghan And Harry will air on CBS on March 7, 2021.
