The Los Angeles Lakers are on a roll this season. They’re also heavily favored to win back-to-back championships. LeBron James is also sitting in the 1st spot in this year’s MVP race. The Lakers are known for the dynamic duo of James and Anthony Davis. However, it appears that they want to add another superstar after seeing the capabilities of the Brooklyn Nets’ Big 3. According to NBA analysts, the Lakers would love to add Bradley Beal to their roster.
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers Might Try To Obtain Bradley Beal This Year
NBA analysts believe that the Los Angeles Lakers will try to trade for Bradley Beal again. Apparently, the Lakers have been connected to Beal since 2018. He was the second option by the Lakers if they failed to obtain Anthony Davis. However, the James-Davis duo proved that the Lakers don’t need a third superstar to win championships. However, the Brooklyn Nets have been showing signs that they’re going to dominate the league.
The trio of James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant has been a headache to many teams. Now, it appears that the Lakers will be forced to get additional help in order to stop the Nets’ Big 3. Aside from that, Beal’s shooting skills will help the Lakers spread their offense even more. It’s no secret that the James-Davis duo mostly dominates inside the paint. Due to this, Beal’s shooting skills would be a perfect fit for the team.
Lakers Lost Back-To-Back Games
The Los Angeles Lakers just lost two games in a row. First is with the Philadelphia 76ers. Their second loss was with the Detriot Pistons. Apparently, Anthony Davis had to sit out due to a leg injury. The Lakers went cold on offense without Davis. According to Lakers Head Coach Frank Vogel, “Sometimes you just have a night where you’re off in a lot of ways.” Meanwhile, LeBron James shared his thoughts about their loss against the Pistons, explaining, “A lot of our games are like big practices. And we have to learn on the fly. It’s all a learning experience.” James scored 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists in 36 minutes of playing. He also missed a lot of his shots late in the game. “I definitely missed some shots that I know I’m accustomed to making,” James said.
NBA: Bradley Beal & Washington Wizards Continue To Struggle
The Washington Wizards have been struggling this season. They’re now 3-11 and currently in their 3rd losing streak. The Wizards’ struggle caused some fans to think that Bradley Beal might want to leave the team. Apparently, Beal wasn’t happy that the Wizards traded his backcourt partner John Wall. “It was a tough pill for me to swallow”, Beal said.
There’s also a clip circulating online showing Beal getting frustrated on the bench. This fuels the speculations that he’ll request for a trade and land on the Lakers.
The Washington Wizards will face the Atlanta Hawks on January 30, 2021.
