The IMPACT Wrestling review will follow a different format moving forward. Highlights of major segments will be broken down and matches will be reviewed and given appropriate star ratings. Move-by-move breakdowns will be limited and video clips will be inserted. Each match is also given a recommendation of Must-Watch, Worth a Watch, Skim-it, or Take a Pass.
IMPACT Wrestling: Hot Start
IMPACT Wrestling kicked off their show this week with the IMPACT Wrestling Champion Rich Swann making his way to the ring. Swann introduced Tommy Dreamer and comments on his upcoming 50th birthday. Swann talks about his respect for Dreamer and offers him a title match at the No Surrender supershow next month. Sami Callihan’s music hits and he demands a title match from Swann. Chris Bey then comes out, followed by Moose. A brawl then takes place until Willie Mack runs down to the ring to even the odds. Callihan calls on Ken Shamrock who then helps take out Dreamer, Swann and Mack. In the back Dreamer, Mack, and Swann demand an 8-man tag team match and promise to bring along a mystery partner.

Tag Team Action
Matt Cardona and Josh Alexander defeated Ace Austin and Madman Fulton
Following the pull-apart brawl from last week’s IMPACT Wrestling, a match was quickly made between both times. Ace Austin is a rising star and having Fulton in the bodyguard roll is a great fit. Alexander is also a solid wrestler who is getting the rub from Cardona, the former Zack Ryder in WWE. This was a solid match that planted the seed for the feud to continue. Austin and Fulton dominated early until Alexander made the hot tag to Cardona. Cardona got the win for his team after hitting the Rough Ryder on Fulton.
Match Analysis: Matt Cardona has also been a solid and entertaining worker going back to his early WWE years If he can give a rub to the rest of the group, it’ll be a positive. Skim it, **1/2

Fire ‘N Flava Fest
Fire ‘N Flava won the Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament at Hard to Kill and have been gloating ever since. Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz continued their celebration during this Fire ‘N Flava Fest on IMPACT Wrestling. Several lower to mid-card stars attended the in-ring segment but nothing could save this from the dumpster fire that it became. Havok and Nevaeh crashed the party and put an end to all our misery. This was terrible. Take a Pass.

IMPACT: Single’s Action
Brian Myers defeated Eddie Edwards by DQ
Brian Myers, the former Curt Hawkins in the WWE, seems to be a man without much focus. Myers seems to be floundering in IMPACT Wrestling until they can find a proper direction for him. Eddie Edwards, on the other hand, is coming off a big win against Sami Callihan at Hard to Kill earlier this month. The match went back and forth early on, but after Myers got the advantage, Edwards made his comeback. Edwards ripped at the face of Myers and was disqualified after attempting to bite his eye.
Match Analysis: Not sure where they are going with this one, but it’s worth keeping an eye on, no pun intended. Worth a Watch **1/4

Rosemary defeated Tenille Dashwood
In what looks to be the end of their feud, Rosemary picked up the win against Tenille Dashwood. At Hard to Kill earlier this month, Rosemary and Crazzy Steve also defeated Dashwoon and Kaleb With a K.
Match Analysis: Dashwood put up a decent fight, but this was clearly designed to keep Rosemary and Crazzy Steve, the united Decay, moving along. Take a pass, *1/2.

A Violent Peace Offering
Joe Doering w/Violent by Design defeated Cousin Jake
The two big men clashed in what wrestling fans often call a “hoss fight.” Two heavy-hitters just going at it and that’s what Doering and Jake delivered. Jake was able to come out like a house of fire but was taken out by the power of Doering but picked up the win after a lariat. After the match’s conclusion, Violent by the Design beat down Doering, with leader Eric Young attempting to crush Jake’s ankle. Doering was resistant and talked Young out of inflicting further damage. A Violent by Design towel was left for Jake in what could be seen as an offer to join the group.
Match Analysis: Not much to see in this one other than a quick big man brawl, but it did tease the continuation of the angle. Skim it. *1/2

IMPACT Wrestling: Main Event
Rich Swann, Tommy Dreamer, Willie Mack and a Mystery Partner defeated Moose, Chris Bey, Sami Callihan and Ken Shamrock
After the heel group were introduced, the team of Tommy Dreamer, Rich Swann, and Willie Mack waited for their mystery partner. The mystery partner is introduced as the returning Trey Miguel, the former member of the Rascalz. The match starts as they quickly cut to a commercial break. Why would they do that? Returning to the ring, Swann is on the receiving end of a beat down.
.@GottaGetSwann, @THETOMMYDREAMER, @TheTreyMiguel and @Willie_Mack vs. @TheSamiCallihan, @TheMooseNation, @ShamrockKen and @DashingChrisBey was an INCREDIBLE main event. #IMPACTonAXSTV pic.twitter.com/XxkEZdBEFS

Sami Callihan attempts a package piledriver but the IMPACT Wrestling champion was able to reverse it into a head scissors. Mack was then tagged in but once again fell victim to the attacks of the heel side. Miguel is then given the hot tag as the match quickly got out of control. In the end, Miguel was able to reverse a packaged piledriver by Callihan into a hurricanrana pin.
Match Analysis: Solid main event but it did fall short of the expectations. If you have a few minutes give it a watch, but if not you’ll be fine to watch high lights. Worth a watch, **3/4.
