Post Malone Makes Kind Gesture To Frontline Workers

Nikki Desrosiers

Rapper Post Malone showed his support for America’s heroes when he made a huge, unexpected gesture to help frontline medical workers. Read on to get the details.

Post Malone Donates Crocs to Frontline Medical Workers

In an effort to show his support for those fighting the hard battles against COVID-19, Post Malone donated 10,000 pairs of his custom Crocs to medical workers across the country. The 25-year-old rapper teamed up with the shoe company last year to create the ‘Duet Max Clog 2’. The super-comfy clogs have been a hit with both fans and med-workers nationwide. Today, Malone partnered with the non-profit organization, Musicians on Call. Together, they helped pass out free, comfortable shoes for those who are on their feet for long hours, saving our lives.

Post Malone Partners with Musicians on Call

Known for being a soft-hearted humanitarian, this is not the first time Post has been caught giving. This time around Post Malone paired up with the well-known non-profit Musicians On Call to bring what they are calling #FrontlineValentines to nurses, medical staff, and caregivers across the country.

If you are not familiar with Musicians On Call, they partner with musicians around the country to help bring music to those too unwell to find their way to it themselves. The organization works with thousands of volunteer musicians who make daily and weekly trips to the nation’s hospitals. These volunteers sing and play live music, bringing joy to the patients, their family, and their caregivers.  The non-profit also regularly pairs with big-name famous musicians who are looking to give back. Over the years, celebs like Luke Bryan, Terri Clark, and Nick Jonas have all been involved with the program.

Posty X Crocs Are Sold Out Everywhere!

Post Malone’s Croc Collaborations have been insanely popular. In fact, this latest iteration is the singer’s 5th design collab with the Crocs brand. Posty’s latest Croc drop gave birth to the The Duet Max Clog II. The coveted shoes, released on December 8th, sold out the first day. They are still out of stock today. This is one of the things that makes this donation extra amazing!

The Posty X Crocs collabs sell in regular retail outlets for $60  – sometimes a little more. The singer, with the help of the Crocs company and Musicians on Call, gave out 10,000 pairs! This equates to roughly $600,000 in lost revenue that Malone donated to medical workers and front-line caregivers across the country. Despite his Duet Max Clog II’s being sold out – the performer gave away 10,000 pairs that could easily have made him a lot of money.

Post Malone is Not the Only Celeb Helping Out During the Pandemic

Post Malone is not the only celebrity lending a hand to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. According to Us Weekly, several big brands, including  L’AGENCE and Brooks Running have also donated apparel items to frontline workers over the last year. Alternatively, some celebs are helping those directly affected by the economic hardships the pandemic is causing. Beyonce for example, announced recently that her non-profit has teamed up with the NACCP to help families facing homelessness. Her BEYGood Impact Fund will be awarding 100 grants of $5000 to help them avoid eviction or foreclosure. She is also planning a second round of grants that will open for application in February.

For those interested in the BEYGood housing grant, the application is set to open in a few days. The app will be available through the NACCP website.
