Bethesda recently went headlines after announcing that they’re developing an Indiana Jones game. It’s been quite some time since fans were able to play an Indiana Jones game. However, some fans are worried that it may affect Bethesda’s development of Starfield and Elder Scroll 6. Bethesda’s Todd Howard is known to be a very busy guy. Aside from being the producer of the new Indiana Jones game, he’s also the director of the upcoming Fallout TV series. However, despite all the workloads, Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines revealed that it won’t affect the development of Starfield and Elder Scroll 6.
Pete Hines Says Indiana Jones Won’t Affect Starfield & Elder Scrolls 6
According to Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines, their upcoming Indiana Jones game won’t affect Starfield and Elder Scroll 6’s development. “Todd is currently EP on many BGS and other projects, such as the Fallout TV show. His main focus remains Directing the upcoming Starfield and TES6 games, which aren’t affected by today’s news”, Hines said. At this point, Bethesda has yet to reveal updates about Starfield and Elder Scroll 6. It’s almost three years since the Elder Scrolls 6 was announced. Bethesda released a trailer back in July 2018 of what seems to be Elder Scrolls 6‘s in-game world. It features large mountains and a sea with no monsters in sight. Meanwhile, fans have been throwing sarcastic jokes on Starfield’s trailer as it only shows its title with no gameplay or description of what’s it going to be. One fan said, “I’ve never seen such intense gameplay.”
Howard Puts Indiana Jones Easter Egg On His Live Stream
Todd Howard might have teased the Indiana Jones game last year. During a social media live stream on September 2020, several artifacts from the movie can be seen from his back. First is the Ark of the Covenant, which was featured in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark. The second artifact is the Chachapoyan Fertility Idol also known as the Golden Idol. It was also featured in the Raiders of the Lost Ark. According to Pete Hines, Howard is a big fan of the treasuring hunting movie ever since. He denied the rumors that Howard was teasing the game back in September 2020. According to him, “Just to be clear, this is not anyone “doing” anything. Todd is a lifelong fan of Indiana Jones. He owns a lot of cool Indiana Jones stuff.”
The Game Will Be Different From The Movies
According to Bethesda, they’re currently working with LucasFilm Games and MachineGames to produce an Indiana Jones game with a storyline different from the movies. According to Todd Howard, “It’ll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!” At this point, Bethesda has yet to reveal if Harrison Ford will play the role of Indiana Jones in the upcoming game. Aside from that, the video game company has yet to announce what platform the game will be on.
