NBA: Warriors’ Stephen Curry Tweaks His Ankle Late In The Game Against The Clippers

Three-time NBA champion Stephen Curry has been putting on a show after a slow start earlier in the season. He’s been encouraging his teammates to play better and they need to win. Curry impressed a lot of fans including several NBA legends after scoring 62 points against the Portland Trail Blazers. After that, he scored 30 points in their win against the Sacramento Kings. However, Curry struggled in their recent game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He also scared a lot of fans after having an ankle issue late in the game.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry went limping late in the 4th quarter against the Los Angeles Clippers. With only 1:18 left in the game, Curry tried to get away from Paul George’s defense but ended up stepping on Patrick Beverly’s foot. Curry started limping and a lot of fans got worried. Curry left the court with only a minute left showing no signs of severe pain. Curry had an ankle injury back in 2019, where he ended up having surgery to repair torn ligaments. Due to this, it makes him one of the most fragile point guards in the league.

Steve Kerr Opens Up About Curry’s Ankle Issue

During an interview, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared an update about Stephen Curry’s ankle issue. According to Kerr, “He did tweak it. He told me it’s not serious.” Kerr also said that Curry will come tomorrow to get treatments and check his ankle’s condition. Stephen Curry struggled throughout the game due to the Clippers’ lockdown defense. Kerr also commended the Clippers’ intense defense. According to him, “They did a really good job. I thought they played an excellent defensive game. They hounded Steph and we couldn’t find a rhythm.” Kerr also praised his team’s defense especially Draymond Green. During an interview, Kerr described Green as “the best defensive player in the world.”

NBA: Kerr Is More Determined After Loss To Clippers

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared his thoughts about their loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. According to Kerr, “The mood is good, I think our team understands that our ceiling is a lot higher than where we are right now.” The Warriors have been improving over the past couple of games. It’s no secret that the Warriors struggled early in the season. However, it’s expected to a team that features almost an entirely new roster.

Kerr also revealed that his team struggled in defense early in the season. “After the first couple of games, we were kind of a mess defensively. Everybody saw it. We weren’t ready for the season”, Kerr said. Now, Kerr is hoping that his team continues to grow throughout the season. The Clippers defeated the Warriors with a score of 108-101.

The Golden State Warriors will face the Los Angeles Clippers on January 9, 2020.
