The Los Angeles Lakers did one of the most surprising moves during the offseason as they managed to sign the 2019-20 NBA Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell. Many were shocked by Harrell, including his former teammates, when he decided to join the Lakers. Now, it appears that Harrell has improved a lot ever since he paired with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Some fans think that he made the right decision as the Los Angeles Clippers seem to lose their consistency during the playoffs. Now, Harrell opened up on why he likes the Lakers more than the Clippers.
NBA: Montrezl Harrell Says The Lakers Have Great Energy
During an interview, Los Angeles Lakers power forward Montrezl Harrell revealed that he likes the Lakers more than the Clippers. According to Harrell, he’s happy about the team’s chemistry early in the season. He also believes that their high team chemistry will continue to grow throughout the season. “Guys, it’s a great vibe. It’s great energy around us, man”, Harrell added. The Lakers’ high chemistry is one of the key factors in how they won the championship last season.
Harrell Says The Lakers Have No Restriction In Playstyles
Los Angeles Lakers star Montrezl Harrell opened up about the differences between Lakers and Clippers. According to Harrell, the Clippers restricts the freedom of their players. “You always got to be this, this or this. It’s kind of been the system I’ve kind of been playing in for a while”, Harrell added. After that, Harrell revealed that it’s different in the Lakers. According to him, “But that’s not like that over here. They play to the style of everybody’s game.” Harrell ended his statement by saying that the Lakers play free-flowing basketball, something that the Clippers lack.
NBA: Lakers Defeated The Grizzlies For 4th Straight Win
The Los Angeles Lakers just won their fourth straight game in the season. They defeated the Memphis Grizzlies with a score of 92-94. The game was very close, especially during the 4th quarter. However, the Lakers put on a show with their defense by blocking shots and forcing turnovers. The Grizzlies also had a hard time defending the James-Davis duo. Anthony Davis and LeBron James both scored 26 points. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies had to sit out Ja Morant due to his Grade 2 left ankle sprain. Morant is expected to miss 3-5 weeks.
The Los Angeles Lakers will face the San Antonio Spurs on January 8, 2021.
