It seems Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are always in the news these days. However, this time, things are sure to get interesting. It turns out Meghan’s sister, Samantha Markle, is releasing a memoir titled The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1.
Meghan Markle’s sister publishes tell-all memoir
Reportedly, Meghan Markle’s sister, Samantha Markle, has been threatening to release the book for several years. Now, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1 is set to be published in the US on January 17.
Meghan Markle is sure to be facing drama when the memoir is released. Samantha Markle has spoken about her book, outlining her relationship with Meghan, for some time. Now it is almost ready to hit the bookshelves.
The memoir promises to “tell the hidden truths about her family, as a royal fairy tale plummets from the tea towels.” Without giving a lot away, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1 says “truth is stranger than fiction.” Another hint reads that “things are not always as they seem.”
Meghan Markle and Samantha Markle
Meghan has been estranged from her half-sister, Samantha, for some time. Samantha’s feelings towards her can be clearly seen from the image below. She is laughing at photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle displayed outside a shop.
When news of Prince Harry and Meghan’s engagement hit the headlines, Samantha spoke out in interviews on TV about the story. She describes her younger sister as a “shallow social climber.”
While close to her mother, Doria Ragland, Meghan also has a difficult relationship with their father, Thomas Markle, 76. When drama happened between Meghan and her father around the time of the royal wedding, Samantha accused her of abandoning him.
Previous reports had said Meghan was upset about the memoir as she didn’t understand why Samantha was writing it. At the time, she said she and her half-sister “barely knew each other.”
‘Bestselling’ memoir by Samantha Markle
Meanwhile, the book is marketed by Barnes & Noble and has been already branded a “best seller” on their website. While the book is to head to bookshelves in the US on January 17, it is unknown when it will release in the UK. This is due to stricter libel laws in the country, especially with the royal family living there.
This latest tell-all memoir comes in the wake of the unauthorized book, Finding Freedom. Released five months ago, that book claims to chronicle the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s romance. It also claims to reveal the events leading up to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back as senior members of the royal family. Both the Duke and Duchess deny speaking directly to the authors of that book, Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie.
