Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly anticipated games this year. It was believed to change the future of the gaming industry. Unfortunately, the game faced massive failure on its launch. Countless bugs and glitches have been encountered on its release. Players are even experiencing performance issues where the game’s graphics becomes pixelated. Now, it’s the investor’s turn to have a word with the game’s developer, CD Projekt Red. Apparently, an investor filed a lawsuit against the company for its buggy release. They also claimed that CD Projekt Red made some false and misleading statements.
Cyberpunk 2077 Developer Faces Lawsuit
According to a federal court in Los Angeles, an investor of Cyberpunk 2077 sued the company for its buggy release. The lawsuit says that the game suffers from “an enormous number of bugs.” It also says, “Defendants’ statements about its business, operations, and prospects, were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times.”
Apparently, 8 million people pre-ordered the game. They even put Keanu Reeves in the game to make it more popular. Sadly, a lot of players asked for a refund after encountering a lot of issues in the game. Sony even pulled the game out of the PlayStation Store as it’s almost unplayable on the PlayStation 4. At this point, CD Projekt Red has yet to release their statements regarding the lawsuit filed against them.
CD Projekt Red Has More Bad News For The Game
CD Projekt Red previously announced that the game will have a multiplayer mode. However, the game is still suffering from a massive amount of bugs. Due to this, the company revealed that they will set aside the multiplayer mode to focus on fixing the game. According to CD Projekt Red, “At the moment please let us handle the situation, and please let us make some more assessments.” The company also said, “We’ll discuss this early next year.” Fans got worried because CD Projekt Red is known for its slow developments. Apparently, Cyberpunk 2077 took almost 9 years of development. It also faced a lot of delays upon its release. Due to this, fans think that they have to wait for a long time before the multiplayer mode gets released.
Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix Released For PC & Consoles
CD Projekt Red released the 1.06 hotfix for Cyberpunk 2077 on both PC and Consoles. The patch will fix the issue where Dum Dum suddenly disappears during the Second Conflict mission. The console version also receives improvements in memory management and stability, which will result in fewer crashes. The update also removes that 8 MB file save limit. However, CD Projekt Red revealed that it won’t fix corrupted save files before the update.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X.
