Houston Rockets star James Harden has been making headlines after announcing that he wants a trade to a contender team. However, he still played with the Rockets during the preseason. He had a good game and the Rockets look great when he’s on the floor. However, it appears that Harden still wants to be out of the team. Apparently, he had a dispute with one of his teammates during their practice. Aside from that, the NBA is also investigating his club video that has been circulating online.
NBA: James Harden Threw A Basketball At Teammate During Practice
James Harden continues to deteriorate ahead of the Houston Rockets’ season opener against the Portland Trail Blazers. There are reports stating that Harden threw a ball at rookie Jae’Sean Tate after a heated argument. The basketball didn’t hit Tate. However, Harden’s action was unprofessional and could really affect their team chemistry. Russell Westbrook recently opened up about the Rockets’ “Special treatment” to Harden. According to him, he wasn’t happy about how the Rockets revolves around Harden. There are also reports stating that the Rockets allows Harden to show up late in practice and even in team flights for away games.
NBA Reviews James Harden’s Club Video
A video of James Harden seemingly breaking the NBA’s Covid-19 protocols has been circulating online. The party was reportedly from the Houston club. However, fans noticed that the video was taken at a strip club. The NBA’s Covid-19 protocols strictly prohibit players to attend bars, lounges, or clubs. The NBA also prohibits gatherings with more than 15 people. Harden was previously seen attending a birthday party in Atlanta. After that, the NBA required him to have six negative results from Covid-19 before being able to play again. At this point, the NBA has yet to reveal Harden’s penalty for breaking the Covid-19 protocols again.
Will Harden’s Actions Get Him Traded?
With the NBA investigating James Harden’s recent actions, fans believe that it will make it harder for him to get traded. Harden’s reputation in the league has been declining with his recent actions especially after having a dispute with one of his teammates. Not just that, Harden’s lack of trust with his team makes him a bad example of a leader. There are a lot of players in the league that has been loyal to their team despite struggling. Harden’s current preferred teams are Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks. and Miami Heat. However, none of these teams have shown huge interest in obtaining Harden.
The Houston Rockets will face the Portland Trail Blazers on December 27.
