While preparing for the regular season, the Lakers decided to sign Kyle Kuzma into a multi-year extension. Kuzma is one of the youngest stars in the NBA today. Los Angeles Lakers Signs Kyle Kuzma To A Multi-Year Extension
Kyle Kuzma signed a $40 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers. The contract will let Kuzma play with the Lakers for three years and includes a player option before the 2023-2024 season. Kuzma is one of the most athletic small forwards in the league today. He averaged 12.8 points and 4.5 rebounds last season he also won his first NBA championship. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka was also pleased to announce Kuzma’s extension. According to him, “It is especially gratifying for our Lakers franchise to draft, develop and now sign one of our own to a contract extension.” Pelinka also said that Kuzma has improved significantly over the past three years.
Anthony Davis Pleased To Hear Kuzma’s Extension
Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis revealed that he’s excited about Kuzma’s extension. During an interview, he said, “I mean, it’s good for him. You don’t have that contract anxiety for the whole year. Now that it’s out of the way, you can go out there and play, which he was doing anyway.” Davis also said that Kuzma has been locked in on both ends of the floor. LeBron James also reacted to Kuzma’s extension. In a social media post, he said, “KUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! Congrats bro!!! Next dinner on you for sure! Vino chronicles.” The Lakers have been showing how good their team chemistry is. They ended their preseason run with an undefeated record of 4-0.

The Los Angeles Lakers ended their preseason with a strong message. The Lakers want to show that they’re not going anywhere and they’re ready to defend their title. The Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns in their last preseason game with a score of 114-113. Quinn Cook delivered the game-winning shot with 26 seconds left in the game. The Lakers managed to stop the Suns from scoring with their intense defense. Anthony Davis led the scoreboard with 35 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. LeBron James is behind him with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The NBA 2020-21 season will begin on Tuesday, December 22.
