The 2019 1st overall draft pick, Zion Williamson, also showed his dominance in his last preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks. His backcourt partner, Lonzo Ball, is also showing signs of being one of the best passers in the league.
NBA: Kevin Durant Starts Strong – Kyrie Burns Sage Before The Game
Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant made his first preseason debut after 552 of absence against the Washington Wizards. He scored his first bucket with a slamdunk, showing that he’s still in his prime. He finished his game against the Wizards with a score of 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Now, Durant showcased a much stronger game against the Boston Celtics. He scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in only 27 minutes of playing. Durant’s backcourt partner, Kyrie Irving, also scored 17 points as they defeated the Celtics with a score of 113-89.
Kyrie also went headlines after a clip of him burning incense in the TD Garden surfaced on social media. One fan commented, “Kyrie trying to get rid of the bad energy at Boston because he might have done a few bad things out there.” Another fan also said, “Irving burning incense is the funniest thing I’ve seen, he’s a complete lunatic.” However, Kyrie made a statement regarding his incense ritual. According to him, “It just comes from, you know, a lot of native tribes, being able to sage, just cleanse the energy. ” Kyrie also said that he’s planning to do the ritual in every game if the opposing team allowed him.
Durant Opens Up About Upcoming Game Against Former Team
During an interview, Kevin Durant opened up about his upcoming game against his former team, the Golden State Warriors. It’s no secret that Durant and Draymond Green had some dispute when they were teammates. Due to this, fans are expecting that Durant and Green might end up in an altercation. However, Durant thinks that it’s unnecessary to create such drama. According to him, “I don’t care too much about that drama that comes with that former team, you know, all that stuff.” He also said, “I love everybody there. It’s just another game.”
NBA: Zion Williamson Is Back In Full Strenght
Zion Williamson shows what he’s capable of against the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s no secret that Williamson had minute restrictions during his rookie year. Due to this, he wasn’t able to show his full potential. Now, Williamson is no longer restricted from his playing time. He’s also expected to play bigger roles with the team next season. Williamson scored 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists as they defeated the Bucks with a score of 127-113.
The NBA 2020-21 season will begin on Tuesday, December 22.
