Meanwhile, the NBA announced that they’re going to investigate the Clippers after Kawhi Leonard’s recruitment allegations.

NBA: Los Angeles Clippers Faces Investigation
According to the NBA, they opened an investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers following a report that Jerry West did an improper action to recruit Kawhi Leonard. Apparently, Johnny Wilkes claimed that West still owes him $2.5 million for helping push Leonard to sign with the Clippers. A lawsuit was also filed by Wilkes regarding the issue. According to Wilkes, he claimed that he gave west and the Clippers a gameplan on how they’re going to pitch Leonard. He also said that he’s responsible for the Clippers’ recruitment of Paul George because he thinks that he’s one of the most important factors for Leonard to show interest to the team. After that, Wilkes claimed that he helped West connect with Leonard’s uncle, where the talks of recruitment began.
However, West denied the allegation against him. He said, “I am not aware of any lawsuit being filed against me and I deny engaging in any improper conduct in connection with the signing of Kawhi Leonard.”
The NBA 2020-21 season will begin on Tuesday, December 22.
