Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly anticipated games this year. The game took 9 years of development and tons of delays upon its release. It was expected to live up to all expectations and become one of the greatest games of all time. Unfortunately, the game has tons of bugs and glitches on its release.
From cars glitching into the wall, NPCs suddenly disappearing, and genitals glitching out of the character’s clothes, it appears that Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t really live up to the hype. Now, players discovered another big issue with the game. Apparently, Cyberpunk 2077’s HDR mode doesn’t work on next-gen consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077 HDR Mode Not Working For PS5 & Xbox Series X
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the main reasons why a lot of people bought the next-gen consoles. Players are expecting that the game’s HDR mode will offer ultra-realistic graphics that no one has ever seen. Unfortunately, there are a lot of players who discovered the faulty HDR feature of the game. In a social media post, a fan shared a video of him testing out the game’s HDR feature on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The fan discovered that the HDR feature will result in poor contrast and blurry colors. Due to this, the fan recommended disabling the game’s HDR to experience much better graphics.
The Game Is Struggling On Previous Consoles
Cyberpunk 2077 was also released on previous consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, players who own the previous consoles are experiencing a lot of issues with the game’s performance. In a social media post, a fan shared a video where the game doesn’t fully render its graphics on PS4. Everything was just pixelated and very laggy. There are also reports that the game crashes on PS4 and Xbox One. Now, the game’s developer CD Projekt Red released the game’s first update that will fix a lot of issues.
Cyberpunk 2077 Received Its First Hotfix Patch
CD Projekt Red released the first hotfix patch for Cyberpunk 2077. The 1.04 update modifies the game’s lighting effects, which will help reduce the risk of epileptic symptoms. The update also fixed issues on several missions. One of which is the character not having the access to speak with Johnny during the mission, Life During Wartime. The 1.04 update also brings fixes to the game’s AI enemies where some of them suddenly disappear in the middle of combat. CD Projekt Red also released a fix for the game’s stability, including crash fixes. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game also received improvements in the reflection quality. According to CD Projekt Red, it will help remove the smudge effect that players have been experiencing since the launch.
