The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is one of the most highly-anticipated miniseries coming to Disney Plus. Scheduled for 2021 release, the miniseries will feature the story of Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson in a world where Steve Rogers retired as Captain America. With Bucky and Sam taking over, there’s a huge possibility that they will revisit the history of the Super Soldier Program, which could reveal one of the most important characters in Phase 4.
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier: Miniseries Might Give Way To Sentry
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. During the final scenes of the film, Steve Rogers traveled back in time to return the infinity stones to their original places. He returned in the present time as an old version of himself. Now that Thanos is no longer a threat, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes can team up to investigate the Super Soldier Program. It is believed that Bucky and Sam’s investigation could lead them to discover a new Super Soldier named Sentry. In the comics, Sentry’s real name is Robert Reynolds, who was first introduced in 2000.
Apparently, Sentry is Marvel’s answer to DC’s Superman. He has an unparalleled power amongst many heroes of Marvel. At this point in time, Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch are the only powerful ones remaining in the MCU. Unfortunately, their combined powers may not be enough for the next supervillain. There are rumors stating that the next supervillain will be Kang The Conqueror. Kang is one of the most dangerous villains in Marvel because of his ability to time travel. Due to this, the Avengers will need Sentry’s aid to defeat the time-traveling villain.
