‘Scream’ Star David Arquette Nearly Died During A Wrestling Match

American actor and professional wrestler, David Arquette, shocked his fans with his hardcore wrestling match against Nick Gage back in 2018. David and Nick are both well-known wrestlers in Game Changer Wrestling, also known as GCW. The two showcased their full dedication during their hardcore match two years ago. However, things almost went sideways for David. He received heavy damage that almost ended not just his career, but his entire life.

How David Arquette Almost Died

David Arquette and Nick Gage’s GCW match in 2018 is one of the most gruesome matches in the show. The two can be seen smashing and slamming each other through steel chairs and tables. It may look like a regular hardcore match that can be seen on most wrestling entertainment shows today. However, later in the match, things went extremely bloody when Nick smashes a fluorescent light tube over David’s head. After that, David started holding his neck, seemingly stopping a huge amount of bleeding. David got out of the ring for a few seconds, seemingly checking if he’s fine. After that, he got back to the ring and smashes a steel chair over Nick’s body. However, David retaliates with his finisher move and defeated Nick. After being pinned to three counts, Nick got up immediately and heads back to backstage.

David Had A Documentary About His Wrestling Career

Scream star David Arquette spent the majority of his life around entertainment wrestling. A digital documentary was created in honor of his dedication and hard work in wrestling. It’s called “You Cannot Kill David Arquette”, which features the story of David’s two-decade wrestling career and how he earned his 2000 World Championship Wrestling title. The documentary also features David’s challenges in life, such as heart problems and drug addiction.

David Shares His Thoughts On His Bloody Wrestling Match Against Nick

David Arquette shared his feelings regarding his gruesome match against Nick Gage back in 2018. According to David, “I don’t want to die but life is painful.” He also said that wrestling helped him deal with his addiction issues. Furthermore, David said that wrestling helped him ease the pain whenever he thinks about the death of his best friend, Luke Perry, and his transgender sister, Alexis. According to David, “Losing someone is really painful but a few things have happened to make me feel we are all much more connected.” He also said that he sometimes feels like he’s looking at Alexis’ arms when he’s looking at his own arms. The scream star also said that he finally accomplished what he’s set out to do, which is proving to the world that he can be a wrestler.
