The couple from New York take their honeymoon
This couple from New York got married and then took their honeymoon in late October. This all seemed fine, even though COVID-19 is something everyone is battling right now. They headed to Turks and Caicos and a few days into the trip the couple passed away.
Mohammad Malik and Dr. Noor Shah both died from alleged drowning. Mohammad’s father is sharing that they died due to “strong riptides.” There just isn’t a lot of information coming out yet on it.
They were swimming near COMO Parrot Cay Resort in Turks and Caicos when the couple from New York drowned. This couple was only married a few days before they passed away. You can see a few details below.

It is so awful that this couple passed away just four days after their wedding. Everyone will always wonder if there was more to this story, but they probably won’t find out. Mohammad Malik and Dr. Noor Shah will be missed.
Other details about this accident
A few other details have been revealed about the passing of this couple. It turns out that the family was informed of the deaths by the American Embassy in the Bahamas. Three family members traveled to identify the bodies. This wasn’t the way anyone would want to have to go and visit just a great tropical location.
In a statement, Olshan Frome called the couple “shining lights who touched everyone who had the benefit of knowing them. Mohammad was a humble, bright and talented attorney and a truly kind and gentle soul. Mohammad always strove to live life to the fullest and to appreciate the richness of human experience.”
Shah graduated from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She was also a fourth-year resident in the Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Health. The hospital put out a statement saying, “She was an excellent resident and a promising surgeon and she will be deeply missed.”
