While Prince Charles tested positive for the Coronavirus, his wife Camilla did not. Charles, who is 71, and Camilla, who is 72, both fall into the category of the elderly because of their age.
Hunkered Down With Camilla
This is one of the categories at risk when contracting the virus, along with those who have underlying medical problems. This virus tends to hit the elderly and those with a medical condition harder than younger people.
The 71-year-old prince and Camilla are now self-isolating in their home in Scotland.
Clarence House added: “In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.”
The NHS in Aberdeenshire carried out the testing on Charles and Camilla. According to reports, the couple met the criteria required for the testing.
Prince Charles Coronavirus – Impossible to Trace
It’s impossible to trace Prince Charles steps back to find the point where he contracted the virus. There are just too many public engagements Charles took part in within the last few weeks.
Prince Charles met with Prince Albert of Monaco a few weeks back, who has tested positive for Coronavirus. Reports indicate Prince Albert tested positive nine days after the WaterAid event in London. He sat opposite the UK Prince at the event.
The heir to the British throne has been following guidelines, like avoiding shaking hands at recent events. Charles’ 93-year-old mother, the Queen of England is reportedly fine and riding out the Coronavirus in Windsor Castle.
