Young and The Restless spoilers reveal the Newmans constructed an elaborate ruse to fool Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) into believing he killed his own father. However, they didn’t count on Adam framing his sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) for the murder.
When they arrest her it forces Victor to come “back from the dead” sooner than he planned. Most of the Newmans and some prominent Genoa City citizens were enlisted in the plot.
But the fallout from this ploy caused Adam to leave town and hurt feelings from the other family members that were kept in the dark. So was it worth it?
Y&R: The Conspirators and The Fallout.
The Young and The Restless spoilers know Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) agreed to play along. As Victor’s doctor, he discovered the switch. Paul Williams ( Doug Davidson), the chief of police came aboard in hopes of being able to finally nail a Newman for a crime.
Victor’s wife and other children were in on the scheme but the grandchildren were mostly kept in the dark. It seems cruel to watch them grieve just to bring down Adam. Those kids are going to have trust issues but what’s a Newman without issues?

When the truth came out Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was furious with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for letting Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) suffer Victor’s loss and Adam’s abandonment. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was also angry that Nick let their daughter Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) mourn unnecessarily. Even Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) complained that Paul had him investigate a murder that never happened.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) was hit very hard by her grandfather’s passing. Her family watched her misery and never thought to bring her in the loop. To make it worse she found out he was alive on television along with her mother Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). The furious redhead hightailed it to the Newman ranch with Summer right behind. Phyllis was enraged. Summer was hurt and left feeling like an outsider.

The Young and The Restless: Adam Confronts Victor-Yes He Really Did.
Y&R spoilers are aware that many fans questioned whether Adam’s emotional encounter with his father was real. Yes, it was. Victor wanted to find some humanity in his son. Adam admits he switched the meds because he believed the elder Newman sent someone to run him over.
That act made him see himself for who he really is. Although Victor tries to persuade him he can be a better person and be a part of the family, Adam feels he has to leave.
He apologized to Victor and they tearfully say their goodbyes. Adam vanished before Nikki entered the room to warn her husband Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) was coming. Victor gave Adam a chance to get away and refused to cooperate if the police pursued Adam.
Young and The Restless: Was it Worth It?
Y&R spoilers wonder if Victor faking his death was worth the repercussions. Connor lost his father to Las Vegas so soon after learning he was alive. Faith is glad she is at boarding school away from her family.
Summer felt betrayed by the grandfather she loves. Not to mention her own father kept her in the dark. Now the Newmans will face Phyllis’s wrath.
Victor saw that Adam was not beyond redemption. He got what he wanted but at what cost? Keep watching Them Young and The Restless on CBS to see what unfolds.
